Kittie officially launched their first full North American headlining tour in more than ten years on Saturday, June 6th, taking the stage at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO to kick off their “Legacy Of Fire Tour: 30 Years Of Kittie.”
The 16-date trek celebrates three decades of the Canadian metal band’s career and arrives amid a resurgence that has seen the group release their comeback album, Fire, in 2024, followed by the re-recorded anniversary EP Spit XXV in 2025.
Fans attending the opening night of the tour may have noticed a different face holding down bass duties. Longtime bassist Ivy Vujic is sitting out the run due to family commitments and is expected to rejoin the band for select August performances.
Stepping in for the tour is Rachel Gonzales of Neon Knights, who previously performed alongside Kittie during this year’s ShipRocked cruise.
Ahead of the tour launch, the band shared a statement explaining Vujic’s absence and expressing their support for her decision to prioritize family.
“A quick note regarding the Legacy of Fire tour: As many of you know, Ivy is a devoted mom to a young family, and right now her focus needs to be at home. Because of those family commitments, she won’t be joining us on this tour.
“We fully support her decision and know how important this time is for her and her family. We’re looking forward to sharing the stage with her again at Tinley Park and throughout our August dates.”
The “Legacy Of Fire Tour: 30 Years Of Kittie” serves as a celebration of the band’s legacy, marking 30 years since the group’s formation in 1996. Support on the run is coming from Kingdom Of Giants and Gore.
Fan-filmed footage from the opening night performance has surfaced online, offering an early look at the band’s current live lineup as the anniversary tour gets underway.
