Kittie have released a brand-new music video for their re-recorded version of “Spit”, the title track from their 1999 gold-certified debut album. The updated cut arrives 25 years after its original release and was directed by Wombat Fire (Bad Wolves, Asking Alexandria).
Originally tracked when the Lander sisters were still teenagers, Spit cemented itself as a cornerstone of nü-metal’s late ‘90s rise. Now, the band has revisited the song with a sharper, heavier edge that reflects both their growth and the genre’s enduring impact.
Hints of this reimagining began to surface earlier this year when the band reunited with producer GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Mudvayne), who oversaw the original sessions for both Spit and its 2001 follow-up Oracle.
