Knocked Loose Announce Manchester ‘Outbreak’ Aftershow As Bryan Garris Shares Bell’s Palsy Recovery Update

Knocked Loose have announced a late-night, unbarricaded headline performance in Manchester, UK, set for June 27th at Albert Hall, as part of their ongoing run around the Outbreak Festival.

The special aftershow will take place in the early hours of the morning, with doors opening at 12:30am and Lip Critic opening the set. The show adds another layer to a packed European schedule for the Kentucky hardcore band, who have been balancing festival appearances with major support slots for some of metal’s biggest acts.

Alongside the announcement, Knocked Loose have also released the second installment of their ongoing ‘Wherever We May Roam’ tour documentary, which has been documenting their European and UK run.

That stretch of touring has already seen the band open for both Metallica and Gojira, but has also been marked by a series of unexpected setbacks behind the scenes.

The first episode of the series revealed frontman Bryan Garris’ diagnosis of Bell’s Palsy, while the latest installment highlights another incident on the road involving guitarist Isaac Hale, who was struck by a car while crossing the street. Despite both situations, the band have continued their touring commitments.

In the new episode, Garris also provided a health update on his condition, telling fans:

“Hello, Bell’s Palsy update, we are on two and a half to three weeks since the diagnosis from the first video. I just want to say thank you to everybody that reached out with their concern. I’m doing fine. I’m experiencing no pain, just a lot of discomfort. Since the video, it did get a little bit worse. I got to a point where my left eye was no longer blinking at all, and when I would try to smile, the left side of my mouth was just completely closed — fully stiff — which was difficult.

But since then it has actually gotten better. I woke up today feeling better than I have since the diagnosis. So I’m regaining some movement here… So yeah, hopefully this means we’re on the road to recovery. I’ve been getting acupuncture, been hitting the sauna — apparently the heat is good for the circulation of blood. So, thanks for everybody that was worried about me. We’re doing good.”

Despite the challenges, Knocked Loose’s European run continues, with appearances spanning major festivals, arena shows, and co-headlining dates across the UK and mainland Europe.
