Deathcore mainstays The Last Ten Seconds Of Life have confirmed the release of their seventh studio album, ‘The Dead Ones’, set for April 17th via their new label home, Metal Blade Records. Produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Galactic Empire), the record features an array of guest vocalists, including David Simonich of Signs Of The Swarm, Nate Johnson (ex-Fit For An Autopsy), Alan Grnja of Distant, and original TLTSOL vocalist Storm Strope.
Guitarist Wyatt McLaughlin shared insight into the creative process behind the album:
“We took everything we learned from the past two releases and assembled what we felt would bring out the best in us. We examined all of TLTSOL’s past work and how our fanbase connected with it. From song structure to every single lyric, we crafted a ten-song record that will bellow through the ages.”
The album’s title track explores the idea of humanity being stripped away by the actions of others, described by McLaughlin as:
“The Dead Ones is a sonic séance, capturing the piercing desire for one more conversation with a lost loved one. Darkness and light both demand their due, and this track channels that experience.”
A music video for “The Dead Ones,” directed by Eric DiCarlo (Born Of Osiris, Signs Of The Swarm), has also been released and can be viewed below.
