Texas crossover outfit Life Cycles have unveiled a new single titled “Fatal Path”, offering another preview of their upcoming EP No One Escapes Death. The track arrives alongside an official music video as anticipation builds toward the release of the six-song effort later this month.
The EP is scheduled to arrive March 27th through 1126 Records and finds the band expanding on their aggressive crossover foundation while leaning further into groove-driven riffing and sharper songwriting dynamics.
Drummer Xavier Rios spoke about the direction behind the release, explaining:
“This record is an expansion of our crossover sound with a focus on groove and detail in the riffs. We really wanted to display the journey we’ve been on as a band the last couple of years through this project. The energy is on 10 and we have a little bit of new flavor this time around.”
Vocalist Luis Lopez Jr. added insight into the themes explored on the new single:
“‘Fatal Path’ is about the evil persuasive ways of lust. Letting it drag you to dark places, it tricks you into believing it’s more than just pleasure, ultimately pulling back the curtain and showing that it was all an illusion.”
No One Escapes Death will also feature guest appearances from Trivium vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy on “Soul In Chains” and Sylosis frontman Josh Middleton on “Hell Beneath.”
