Danish metallic hardcore outfit Lifesick have returned with a brand new standalone single, “At War With You,” accompanied by an official music video directed by Daniel Priess, whose previous credits include work with Comeback Kid and Guilt Trip.
The track showcases the band’s trademark blend of metallic hardcore and death metal influences, opening with a menacing bass-driven introduction before erupting into a barrage of aggressive riffs, pummeling drums, and crushing breakdowns.
Speaking about the song, the band explained:
“‘At War With You’ opens with a death metal-inspired bass riff before the full band crashes in with relentless double-kick energy. The track moves through dark, heavy sections before breaking into crushing breakdowns that close the song with pure impact.
Lyrically, it’s about being pushed into a personal war with someone who thinks they know who you are.”
The standalone release marks Lifesick’s latest offering and further highlights the band’s ability to balance punishing heaviness with memorable songwriting, delivering a track built for both the stage and the pit.
