Machine Head To Film “Outsider” Music Video Live In San Antonio

Machine Head will capture the unrelenting energy of their live show on film when they shoot a music video for “Outsider” during their April 17 performance at The Aztec Theatre in San Antonio, TX. With In Flames, Unearth, and Lacuna Coil also on the bill, this stacked night offers fans a rare chance to be part of a live video shoot during one of the most anticipated shows of the tour. The track appears on the band’s upcoming eleventh studio album, Unatoned, which arrives April 25 via Nuclear Blast/Imperium Recordings.

Described in a press release as “a testament to momentum”, Unatoned was born from a whirlwind of touring and travel, written while the band was back on the global festival circuit for the first time in over a decade. The album is said to channel raw emotion through melancholic melodies, crushing riffs, and anthemic singalongs, all while showcasing MACHINE HEAD’s signature intensity and fearless evolution.

Recording for Unatoned took place across multiple studios — including Robb Flynn’s Jam Room, Sharkbite Studios, and Drop Of Sun Recording — between July 2023 and December 2024. Production was led by Flynn alongside longtime collaborator Zack Ohren, who also engineered the record. Mixing and mastering duties were handled by Colin Richardson and Chris Clancy at Audioworks UK, with final mastering by Ted Jensen and assistant Justin Shturtz.

An exception to the lineup is the single “Landscape Of Thorns”, produced by Flynn and Joel Wanasek, who also co-mixed the track with Ohren. The artwork for Unatoned was once again created by Seth Siro Anton, known for his striking visual collaborations with the band.
