Mark Tremonti Teases Potential New Music from Creed Following Reunion

Last year’s Creed reunion hit differently for a certain crowd—maybe those who graduated in 2002 and still keep “Higher” on their playlists? Love them or not, there’s clearly a dedicated fanbase thrilled to hear tracks like “My Own Prison,” “With Arms Wide Open,” and “Torn” live again. For some, that setlist alone is enough to leave early and dodge the post-show traffic.

But, according to guitarist Mark Tremonti, sticking to nostalgia might not be enough to sustain interest. In a recent chat with former MTV VJ turned radio host Matt Pinfield on KLOS (via Blabbermouth), Tremonti addressed the possibility of Creed creating new music—and it seems like he’s all for it.

Here’s what Tremonti had to say:

“Yeah. Just us coming back together after so long was kind of the big driver to get people to come to the shows [on the first reunion tour in 2024]. But as we keep doing it, we’re gonna need to introduce new music to keep saying, ‘Hey, we’re touring, supporting this new EP or this new record.’ So we’ve all talked about it, and we just have to make the time and figure out… We’re all spinning plates right now. Scott’s [Stapp, Creed singer] got his new [solo] record out. I’ve got my new [Tremonti] record coming out. We got an Alter Bridge record we’re gonna record [in 2025]. And then new Creed music, to try to start planting those seeds and get those things going. It just all can’t happen at one time. We’ve gotta put everything in its place.”
