METALLICA Share Pro-Shot Footage Of Their Full 2008 ‘Pinkpop Festival’ Headlining Set

Professionally-filmed footage of Metallica’s complete 2008 Pinkpop Festival headlining performance has been released through the festival’s official Pinkpop Archive channel. The show—captured on May 30th, 2008—marked the band’s first-ever appearance at the long-running Landgraaf, Netherlands event. Metallica have since returned to the festival twice, taking the stage again in 2014 and 2022.

During that initial 18-song run, the thrash veterans delivered a career-spanning set that included early classics, late ’90s deep cuts, and a pair of punk covers to close out the encore.
