Composer and musician Mick Gordon is bringing one of gaming’s most recognizable metal soundtracks to the live stage in a way fans have never experienced before.
Gordon has been announced as one of the headliners for the 2027 edition of RADAR Festival in Manchester, UK, where he will deliver a special performance featuring both a live orchestra and full band for the first-ever complete live presentation of his legendary ‘DOOM’ soundtrack.
The Australian composer became a household name among gamers and metal fans with his crushing industrial metal score for the 2016 ‘DOOM’ video game. The soundtrack’s combination of massive riffs, electronic textures, and aggressive production helped redefine what a video game score could sound like.
Gordon later returned to create the music for 2020’s ‘Doom Eternal’, further cementing his reputation as one of the most innovative composers working in gaming and heavy music.
Beyond his work with DOOM, Gordon has collaborated with several major names in the rock and metal world, including Bring Me The Horizon, Motionless In White, and 3TEETH, continuing to blur the lines between video game music, metal, and modern production.
The upcoming RADAR Festival performance will mark a major milestone for Gordon, as fans will finally get to experience his groundbreaking ‘DOOM’ soundtrack performed in its entirety with the power of an orchestra combined with a live band.
Early bird tickets for RADAR Festival 2027 will be available on Friday, August 7 through the festival’s official website. The event will take place from July 30 through August 1, 2027, in Manchester, UK.
With the current edition of RADAR Festival taking place this weekend, next year’s event is already shaping up to be one of the festival’s biggest installments yet.
