MNRK Music Group Acquires Prosthetic Records

In a significant move for the metal music world, Prosthetic Records has officially been acquired by MNRK Music Group and will now operate under the MNRK Heavy label umbrella. Founded in 1998, Prosthetic Records established itself as a pioneering force in heavy music, breaking ground with early releases from landmark bands such as Lamb Of God, All That Remains, and The Acacia Strain.

The acquisition was announced on June 9, 2025, marking a new chapter for Prosthetic with fresh releases on the horizon, including albums from the chaotic hardcore/mathcore band Pupil Slicer and the experimental math/noise rock group God Alone.

Scott Givens, MNRK’s Senior Vice President of Rock & Metal, commented on the deal:

“Prosthetic Records has been a trailblazer in the metal scene. This acquisition is a strategic step in MNRK’s continued investment in heavy music and aligns perfectly with our vision for MNRK Heavy.”

MNRK Heavy aims to honor Prosthetic’s rich legacy by expanding its reach across digital platforms, physical formats, and special edition releases. Fans can anticipate anniversary reissues, remastered editions, and curated collections celebrating the label’s influential history.

As part of the integration, several current Prosthetic artists will transition into the MNRK family, while new talent will be added to the growing roster—signaling an era of bold creativity and sonic exploration ahead.

Prosthetic’s impact on metal includes key releases from influential acts like Septicflesh, Venom Prison, and many others, joining an already strong MNRK Heavy lineup that features heavyweights such as High On Fire, Pop Evil, and Black Label Society.

This acquisition cements MNRK Music Group’s commitment to supporting and growing heavy music’s vibrant future.
