Molotov Solution Call Out Deathly Decibel Records Over Unauthorized Pressing Of ‘The Harbinger’

Molotov Solution are speaking out against Deathly Decibel Records over an alleged unauthorized vinyl pressing of their 2009 album The Harbinger. The Las Vegas deathcore outfit claim the label moved forward with the reissue without the band’s knowledge or involvement—and without any financial compensation going their way.

According to the band, DDR bypassed them entirely, instead securing a license through their former label, Metal Blade Records, who still own the rights to the album. Molotov Solution state they’ve “never seen a dime” from Metal Blade for this record and that the newly acquired license “does not even count towards recoupment for the album.”

In a full statement shared via social media, the band explained:

“We did not approve or give a go ahead for this release. There’s been plenty of indie wax labels asking about doing it but we have always explained that we would prefer to do it ourselves… However, we don’t own the rights to this album, MB does and they have never paid us anything for it.”

While previous indie labels have reportedly backed off after learning of the band’s situation, Molotov Solution claim DDR never even reached out.

They added:

“No hate towards DDR, but taking the opportunity to profit off a band that has never been paid for their hard work is not the DIY label approach—it’s big label.”

As of now, Deathly Decibel Records has not issued a public statement on the matter. However, the band alleges that critical comments, including ones from the band themselves, have been removed from the label’s social media posts promoting the pressing.
