Masked alt-metal act Mushroomhead has debuted the video below for their new single, “Prepackaged“. The track is from the band’s upcoming ninth studio album, Call The Devil, which is set to drop on August 9th through Napalm Records.
Steve “Skinny” Felton, the band’s mastermind and drummer offered the following on the new single:
“‘Prepackaged‘ turned out extremely heavy, aggressive and haunting. Full of dark sonic textures. Both the video and the song are delightfully dark, foreboding and unrelentingly grim.”
The album also marks the return of guitarist Dave ‘Gravy’ Felton, who contributed to the writing of two songs. The band once again enlisted Matt Wallace to mix the album, known for his work on Mushroomhead‘s 2003 album XIII and their 2020 release A Wonderful Life. Additionally, mastering duties were handled by Jacob Hansen (known for his work with Volbeat, Epica, and Arch Enemy).
