My Chemical Romance have officially released their cover of Pulp’s classic track “Common People” to streaming services, offering fans another preview of the upcoming deluxe edition of Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys.
The recording is not a newly created cover, however. The performance dates back to a BBC Radio 1 in-studio session recorded and filmed around the time the band’s third studio album was originally released. Now, the track is receiving an official standalone release as part of the celebration surrounding the album’s upcoming 15th anniversary reissue.
The expanded edition of Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys is scheduled to arrive on July 10th and will feature a collection of bonus material tied to the era. The newly released version of “Common People” serves as the latest preview of that package ahead of its arrival.
