My Chemical Romance surprised fans during their ongoing European/UK tour by bringing back a rare live cover that had been absent from their set for more than two decades.
During the band’s July 8 performance at Wembley Stadium in London, England, the emo rock icons performed their cover of Morrissey’s “Jack The Ripper” for the first time since 2003.
The unexpected appearance came as part of the band’s additional fan-favorite set, which has accompanied their celebration of their 4x platinum third studio album The Black Parade. While the current tour has primarily focused on honoring the landmark record, My Chemical Romance have also been digging into their catalog and surprising fans with deeper cuts and rarities.
The return of “Jack The Ripper” follows another notable moment from the tour, as the band recently performed their song “AMBULANCE” live for the first time earlier this month.
With more major performances ahead, the The Black Parade victory lap continues through Europe and the UK with several special guests joining the remaining dates.
