My Chemical Romance have officially released live footage of “Someone Out There Loves You,” a rarely heard song that has never received an official studio release. The newly shared performance dates back to 2007, when the emo rockers played Maxwell’s in Hoboken, New Jersey.
The release arrives as the band builds toward the October 23 arrival of the 20th anniversary edition of ‘The Black Parade’, their quadruple-platinum 2006 album. The previously unreleased track is among the bonus material featured on the expanded anniversary set, giving fans an official digital release of a performance that has remained a rarity in the band’s catalog.
The newly issued video offers another glimpse into the ‘The Black Parade’ era, as My Chemical Romance revisit material connected to one of their most celebrated records.
Meanwhile, speculation continues to circulate that My Chemical Romance may be working toward a new comeback album. No official confirmation of a forthcoming studio record was included in the announcement surrounding the live video.
