Nickelback have officially announced their eleventh studio album, Everything Under The Sun, set for release on October 30. Alongside the announcement, the multi-platinum Canadian rock outfit have unveiled the record’s latest single, “Rattle The Cage,” which features a guest appearance from Mötley Crüe guitarist John 5.
The new album marks the band’s first release under their recently announced partnership with Virgin Music Group and follows 2022’s Get Rollin’. According to frontman Chad Kroeger, the title reflects the broad range of material featured throughout the record.
“This album has every side of the band on it. There are songs that hit as hard as anything we’ve ever done, songs that take chances, and songs that remind us why we’ve been doing this together for so long. ‘Rattle The Cage’ felt like the perfect way to kick the door open — it has the energy we’ve been feeding off every night on stage, and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”
Fans may also recognize “Bones For The Crows,” which was originally written for the 2023 video game Dungeon Hunter 6 and has now been officially folded into the album’s tracklisting.
