NINE INCH NAILS Return to the Stage With Rare Setlist Choices, Kick Off ‘Peel It Back World Tour’ in Dublin

Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Nine Inch Nails made their long-awaited return to the stage on June 15th, performing live for the first time since November 2022. The celebrated industrial metal pioneers launched their Peel It Back World Tour with a sold-out show at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, treating fans to a carefully curated setlist that spotlighted several deep cuts and long-absent tracks.

The night opened on an intimate note, with Trent Reznor and company performing on a B-stage surrounded by the audience. The band dusted off “Right Where It Belongs”, “Ruiner” (in acoustic form), and “Piggy” — each played for the first time since 2009.

The performance continued with a full-production main stage set featuring classics like “Wish”, “March Of The Pigs”, and “Closer”, as well as the first live appearance of “Vessel” since 2014, this time joined by Boyz Noize. The guest also appeared on “Came Back Haunted”, marking its first live performance since 2018, and on a rare inclusion of “Parasite”, a cover from How To Destroy Angels, the NIN offshoot featuring Reznor, Mariqueen Maandig, and Atticus Ross.

Fans were also treated to a powerful rendition of David Bowie’s “I’m Afraid Of Americans”, a regular but still poignant tribute given Reznor’s personal and professional ties to Bowie.

True to their reputation for elaborate visuals, the band alternated between up-close moments and a main stage draped in projections and immersive lighting, creating a dynamic visual experience that matched the intensity of the music.
