Testament, David Ellefson, Diamond Head, Soen & More Unite for ‘No Life ’Til Leather – A Tribute to Metallica’s Kill ’Em All’

Silver Lining Music has lined up a stacked roster of metal heavyweights for a new tribute to Metallica’s groundbreaking 1983 debut Kill ’Em All. Dropping November 14th, the compilation — titled No Life ’Til Leather – A Tribute to Metallica’s Kill ’Em All — features fresh and previously unreleased covers from Diamond Head, Testament, Motörhead, Saxon, ex-Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, Soen, and more.

Metallica’s early connection to Diamond Head is legendary — their 1984 cover of “Am I Evil?” put the British metal veterans on the map for a new generation. Diamond Head returned the favor in 2020 with a crushing take on “No Remorse“, which appears on this collection.

The release also sees Ellefson tackling “(Anesthesia) – Pulling Teeth“, an interesting move considering his long, complicated history with Megadeth founder — and ex-Metallica member — Dave Mustaine.

First out of the gate is The Almighty’s blistering rendition of “The Four Horsemen“. Frontman Ricky Warwick said:

“The Four Horsemen got us back into the studio with the original lineup for the first time since 1991… It was really a no brainer. Metallica has been a huge influence for us. We did the whole thing in a day and a half with as much power and passion as you would expect from The Almighty. Make sure you turn it up really, really loud!”
