Veteran nü-metal and alternative metal outfit Nonpoint delivered a nostalgic moment for fans during their set on May 8 at the ‘Welcome To Rockville’ festival in Daytona Beach, Florida, when they were joined onstage by original bassist Ken MacMillan.
The reunion took place during a performance of “Bullet With A Name”, the band’s most recognizable single, originally released as the lead track from their 2005 album ‘To The Pain’.
Nonpoint brought MacMillan back into the fold for the live performance, marking his first appearance with the group in over 15 years. MacMillan was an early member of the band’s lineup, contributing bass and backing vocals from 1997 through 2011.
Following the performance, the band reflected on the moment in a social media post, expressing gratitude for the reunion and the festival atmosphere:
“Look who got to join us on stage today! For the first time in over 15 years, our very first bass player Ken aka KB joined us during ‘Bullet With a Name’. It was like yesterday we were just jamming in a room together. It was a long time coming. But today overall was a good time with our family at ‘Welcome To Rockville’ we can’t say thank you enough to the fans and the staff here not only working but watching our backs gotta say Big thank you to you. And to @welcometorockville and the city of Daytona THANK YOU for giving us so much love and an unmatched energy from this monumental moment. Can’t wait to grace your stages again. Thank you for all that you are and what you do for the Rock community..”
The surprise appearance added a celebratory, full-circle moment to the band’s set, highlighting their long-running history and connection to their earliest material while performing at one of rock’s biggest modern festivals.
