Nonpoint have officially confirmed their eleventh studio album ‘The Last Word’, set for release on September 18 via their own 361 Degrees Records imprint. Alongside the announcement, the veteran nü-metal / alternative metal outfit have also dropped a brand-new music video for the record’s lead single, “Is It,” directed by Drew Johnston.
Speaking on the new era, vocalist Elias Soriano described ‘The Last Word’ as a statement of intent rather than closure:
“In a world that sometimes wants to put a timestamp on creativity, ‘The Last Word’ is our way of saying we’re just getting started. We’re pushing back against expectation and pushing forward into our own next chapter.”
Soriano also expanded on the album’s cover art and symbolism, framing it as a reflection of the band’s longevity and creative evolution:
“This album cover tells a piece of our story. After years of making music, we feel more aligned than ever — musically, visually, and creatively… ‘The Last Word’ isn’t about accepting an ending. It’s about challenging that narrative. If this is the pencil we’re being handed, we’re going to use it — and make sure the words written with it still matter.”
On the lead single “Is It,” Soriano broke down the track’s emotional core:
“It’s that internal conflict where you question getting too involved… Did I push too hard? Did I ask too much? It’s that feeling of wondering if doing what you thought was right actually meant hurting the people around you.”
The album features 10 tracks in total:
01 – “Failing The Conversation”
02 – “Is It”
03 – “Crowd Control”
04 – “The Last Word”
05 – “Shoreline”
06 – “Dial Tones”
07 – “Off The Hook”
08 – “Red Yeti”
09 – “Fine Print”
10 – “Settled”
