A fan is drawing attention online after claiming she was contacted by Obscure Promotion and asked to remove photos she took of President during a recent show in Prague.
In a post that has since gained traction on Reddit, user xSibylla explained that she attended the Architects show in Prague, which featured LVNDMVRKS and President as support acts. According to her account, she brought a point-and-shoot camera to the venue, which was permitted under the venue’s posted regulations.
She also noted that there were no visible notices or restrictions stating that President prohibited photography, adding that many other attendees were openly taking photos and videos throughout the set.
The situation escalated when Obscure Promotion allegedly reached out to her directly via Instagram direct messages, requesting that the images be removed.
Seeking guidance, xSibylla turned to Reddit and wrote:
“I recently saw President in Prague and I had my point-and-shoot with me, which was allowed per venue regulations. Nowhere did it say that President does not allow photography. Everyone around me was taking photos and videos. Not sure how to go about this, any advice? TIA”
The post has sparked discussion around artist photography policies, promoter authority, and the responsibility of venues to clearly communicate any restrictions ahead of time. As of now, neither President nor Obscure Promotion have publicly addressed the situation.
