OZZY OSBOURNE’s Cause of Death Revealed as Tributes and Flowers from Black Sabbath Bridge Sent to His Estate

The official cause of death for heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne has been revealed. According to The New York Times, the Prince of Darkness passed away from a heart attack on July 22nd, 2025, as confirmed by the death certificate filed by his family. The certificate also noted that Ozzy had long been battling coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.

Reports indicate that an air ambulance was dispatched to the Osbourne estate the morning of his passing in a last-ditch effort to provide emergency care. His death came just weeks after he achieved one final milestone—performing a farewell show in front of a sold-out crowd.

That event, titled ‘Back To Beginning’, was a powerful and emotional celebration of Ozzy’s towering career and the legacy of Black Sabbath, the band widely credited with creating the heavy metal genre. More than $190 million was raised for charity through the event, adding yet another meaningful chapter to Ozzy’s monumental life.

Since his passing, an overwhelming outpouring of love and grief has centered around the Black Sabbath Bridge in Birmingham, UK, where fans gathered to mourn and leave tributes to the legendary frontman. On July 30th, Osbourne’s official funeral procession made a stop at the site, where his family personally viewed the thousands of bouquets, notes, and mementos left in his memory.

Ozzy was laid to rest the following day in a private ceremony held at his estate in Buckinghamshire.

In a heartfelt gesture, the flowers and tributes left by fans at Black Sabbath Bridge are now being transported to the Osbourne family. According to a statement, the floral tributes will be mulched and scattered around Ozzy’s final resting place, bringing the love of his fans directly into the soil that surrounds him. Additionally, many of the trinkets and memorabilia left at the tribute site have been collected and preserved for the Osbourne estate.
