Pain Of Truth have released an official live video for “The Test,” capturing a special guest appearance from rapper Denzel Curry during the band’s recent performance at Proyecto in Los Angeles, CA on July 22.
Originally released in 2020, the studio version of “The Test” featured King Nine, but this latest live rendition finds Curry stepping into the spotlight alongside the Long Island hardcore outfit. The performance further highlights Curry’s growing connection to the hardcore and metal scenes in recent years.
After gaining widespread attention through his acclaimed cover of Rage Against The Machine’s “Bulls On Parade,” Curry has increasingly crossed paths with the heavy music world. Most notably, he collaborated with Knocked Loose earlier this year, further cementing his presence within the hardcore community.
The newly released footage showcases the energy of the collaboration, with Curry seamlessly fitting into the band’s hard-hitting live set.
The video also arrives during a busy week for Pain Of Truth. The band recently announced their upcoming self-titled sophomore album, ‘Pain Of Truth,’ which is scheduled to arrive on September 25 via DAZE. The record was produced by Will Putney (Body Count, Incendiary) and will feature the recently released single “Unforgiven.”
With a new album on the horizon and high-profile collaborations continuing to draw attention, Pain Of Truth appear poised for a major second half of 2026.
