Multi-platinum nü-metal veterans Papa Roach have officially premiered their new collaboration with rising Indian rapper Hanumankind. The track, titled “See U In Hell”, was created for the upcoming second season of Netflix’s animated adaptation of the ‘Devil May Cry’ franchise.
The new season of the hit animated series is scheduled to premiere on May 12th and will once again feature a soundtrack packed with familiar names from the nü-metal and alternative rock worlds. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the soundtrack will include music from artists such as Korn, Evanescence, Drowning Pool, and more, with several tracks reportedly appearing in remixed form.
For longtime fans of the series, this isn’t the first connection between Papa Roach and ‘Devil May Cry’ either, as music from the California rock outfit was also featured during the show’s debut season.
The new single pairs the band’s signature hard rock intensity with Hanumankind’s aggressive rap delivery, continuing the recent resurgence of rap-rock and nü-metal crossover collaborations in mainstream heavy music.
An official stream of “See U In Hell” has now been released online alongside the ongoing promotional rollout for the show’s second season.
