Progressive metal innovators Periphery have continued the rollout for their upcoming eighth studio album ‘A Pale White Dot’ with the release of a new single and music video for “Everyone Dies Alone.”
The track marks a notable first for the band, as it carries Periphery’s first-ever outside co-writing credit. Caleb Shomo of Beartooth contributed to the song, earning an official co-writer credit.
Known for keeping songwriting in-house throughout their career, the collaboration represents a new creative step for the group.
‘A Pale White Dot’ is scheduled for release on May 15th through the band’s independent imprint 3DOT Recordings.
The album’s concept reportedly centers on the theme of isolation, with each track exploring a different form of separation, disconnection, or internal struggle. Through that lens, “Everyone Dies Alone” confronts the unavoidable solitude tied to mortality, loss, and the emotional distance that can come with grief.
Musically, the track balances punishing grooves, dynamic shifts, and soaring melodic passages while delivering some of the most somber lyrical material previewed from the record so far. Its bleak but reflective perspective offers another glimpse into the conceptual weight behind ‘A Pale White Dot’.
With each new single, the upcoming album continues to shape up as one of Periphery’s most introspective and emotionally layered releases to date.
