Australian outfit Pincer+ have dropped their newest single “Yours To Erase”, a jagged, emotionally volatile preview of their upcoming debut full-length, Who Are You When No One’s Around. The rising metalcore unit—now moving into a harsher, retro black metal-tinged direction—continue to evolve following the addition of vocalist Jaiden Higgon and bassist Isryan Shah.
The new track digs into themes of internal fracture, identity crisis, and the unsettling quiet of self-reflection. The band explained the meaning behind the single, offering:
“It’s about losing control, pulling yourself apart, and trying to figure out who you are. We found the title felt like a way to tie it all together – it’s a question for us as much as anyone else, about facing the parts of yourself that only show up when no one’s watching.”
Their debut album Who Are You When No One’s Around arrives December 12th via Greyscale/1126.
