Pro-shot footage of Rage Against The Machine’s headlining performance at the May 27th, 1996 edition of the Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf, Netherlands has resurfaced online via the event’s official archival channel.
The Rock & Roll Hall Of Famers delivered a blistering twelve-song set during their appearance at the long-running European festival, capturing the band at the height of their original run. The performance also featured a special guest spot from Public Enemy’s Chuck D, who joined the band onstage for a then-unreleased version of “Zapata’s Blood” as well as a cover of Public Enemy’s classic “Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos.”
Years later, Chuck D would reunite with three-fourths of Rage Against The Machine to form Prophets Of Rage, further cementing the connection between the two politically charged acts.
