Saltwound are gearing up for the release of their crushing debut album, The Temptation Of Pain, set to drop on November 1st via SharpTone Records. The Northern Californian deathcore unit has unveiled their second single, “Severance”, featuring a guest appearance from Distinguisher‘s Nick Chance, who not only lends his voice but also directed the accompanying music video.
“It’s my wish to separate myself from the world in a macro and micro sense. In my personal life and what I see going on, it’s nothing but pain, misery, and things I can’t stand. So, you want to be set free and separated from this darkness. I love music more than anything, but so much of this industry repulses me.”
As for the album, he added:
“With every release, we try to create something that sounds different from what we’ve done in the past. We never want to be a one-trick pony. It’s easy to find a niche and suck the well dry. We’re trying to evolve though. I think we achieved that with this album.”
