Saltwound has officially signed with SharpTone Records, marking a new chapter for the Northern Californian deathcore crew, who previously called Good Fight Music home. To celebrate the big news, they’ve dropped a bone-crushing new single titled “Hollow,” and it’s everything fans of Norcal violence could hope for.
Vocalist Spencer Timmons broke down the track, explaining:
“Compositionally speaking, ‘Hollow‘ is a track that seamlessly incorporates both the driving grooves and crushing breakdowns that Saltwound is known for. The lyrics of the song speak to the emptiness and vapid nature of people that would rather capitalize off of others success than put in the work themselves to create something, as well as how those people seek to co-opt an identity that is not true to what they are.”
The track’s ferocity is matched by a killer music video directed by Nick Chance, known for his work with Enterprise Earth and Lorna Shore.
