Ohio death metal outfit Sanguisugabogg honored the late Ozzy Osbourne during a recent live set, breaking out their rarely performed cover of the Black Sabbath classic “Sweet Leaf.” The tribute came just days after the Prince of Darkness passed away on Tuesday, July 22nd, prompting a wave of onstage dedications and tributes across the heavy music world.
Sanguisugabogg, known for their unrelenting brutality and tongue-in-cheek attitude, originally recorded their take on “Sweet Leaf” early in their career. While seldom played live, the band revived the track this week in a fitting nod to one of metal’s founding voices.
Meanwhile, the group’s upcoming third studio album, Hideous Aftermath, is due out October 10th via Century Media Records.

I think they really should put that cover on a album, maybe as a hidden track or a bonus track..but they killed it either way 🤘🏻
