Saosin Announce 20th Anniversary Tour For Self-Titled Debut With Silent Planet & Like Moths To Flames

Saosin have announced a massive fall U.S. tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark 2006 self-titled debut album.

The newly revealed run arrives shortly after the record officially earned gold certification in the United States, while also coinciding with the band’s recent return to releasing new music for the first time in more than a decade.

Joining the influential post-hardcore outfit on the tour will be Silent Planet, Like Moths To Flames and SAVE US.

Reflecting on the legacy of the album, guitarist Beau Burchell admitted the band had little understanding of the record’s eventual impact while creating it:

“During the creation of SELF TITLED, I don’t think we fully understood the album we were making at the time.”

He continued by discussing the emotional connection fans have developed with the material over the past two decades:

“There’s a different weight to these songs when you’ve lived with them for two decades. Not only for us, but for all the fans who have shared their stories with us over the years.”

Burchell also described the band as feeling creatively revitalized heading into the anniversary run:

“It’s crazy to think we are at peak performance 20 years into our career, but it really does feel that way.”

Vocalist Cove Reber echoed similar sentiments while reflecting on the era surrounding the album:

“Our SELF-TITLED album defined a major chapter of my life, as well as the lives of so many others.”

He added:

“Celebrating this record now is not only about honoring the fans who grew up alongside us, but also the new fans who are growing up with us today.”
