Sharon Osbourne has publicly voiced her support for Marilyn Manson, saying she does not believe many of the allegations that have been made against the shock rocker in recent years.
Manson has faced numerous allegations of sexual assault and abuse since 2021, when his former fiancée Evan Rachel Wood publicly accused him of abuse during their relationship. More than a dozen women subsequently came forward with allegations of their own, with several filing civil lawsuits against the musician.
Manson has denied the allegations. His career suffered a significant setback in the aftermath, with his record label, management and booking agency all cutting ties with him. He subsequently filed a defamation lawsuit against Wood and others, though he ultimately withdrew that case in 2024.
Several of the civil cases against Manson have since been resolved. He reached settlements with Esmé Bianco and another accuser whose identity was not publicly disclosed, while a lawsuit brought by Ashley Morgan Smithline was withdrawn after Smithline recanted her allegations and said she had been manipulated into making them.
Manson continues to face legal action, however. Bianca Allaine Kyne has filed a lawsuit alleging sexual assault incidents dating back to the 1990s, while former personal assistant Ashley Walters has a sexual assault and related civil case against him that is currently scheduled to head to a jury trial in 2027.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced in early 2025 that criminal charges would not be filed following an investigation into the allegations. District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman stated at the time:
“We have determined that allegations of domestic violence fall outside of the statute of limitations, and we cannot prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Against that backdrop, Sharon Osbourne has now come forward in defense of Manson.
Manson has maintained a relationship with the Osbourne family, having shared a tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne following the July 2026 ‘Back To The Beginning’ event. He was also among those invited to Ozzy‘s private funeral.
During the latest episode of the family’s ‘The Osbournes’ podcast, Sharon discussed the allegations surrounding Manson with her son Jack Osbourne, making clear that she continues to consider the musician a friend.
“Manson is a great artist. I don’t care what anybody says and now I’ll get all these complaints, ‘He abuses women.’ Well, women abuse men. And you know what the thing that gets me is? Did Marilyn ever try and be light and breezy, and you know a surfer guy? No. You know what you were getting yourself into.”
Sharon went on to say that she does not believe Manson committed the acts he has been accused of, while recounting an alleged incident involving one of the women who previously sued him.
“You’re begging to get on somebody’s tour bus. You’re begging to get near them and be photographed. And then you know what? What did you expect? And the thing is, I don’t think that he did what they said. You know what I feel about Marilyn. He’s a friend and always will be. And I don’t believe half of it.
I can tell you one of the people that was suing him — major part of it — we were sat Soho House one night, and she went on the floor under the table and gave him a blowjob. He never asked for it, she just did it.”
When Jack asked whether his mother had personally witnessed the incident, Sharon said that she had been there with Andy Gould, a manager and film producer.
“Yeah. And I was with Andy Gould. That’s why I’m like, ‘Hey, there’s two sides to every story here. You leave him alone.’”
Jack responded by joking about the unusual circumstances of the story, prompting another quip from his mother.
“Wow. At Soho House? …Watch, you’re going to get called in now. Now you’re gonna get called into the all the all the proceedings. That’s f*cking nuts.”
Sharon‘s comments come as Manson continues his return to the public spotlight following years of legal controversy. While prosecutors declined to pursue criminal charges, civil litigation surrounding the allegations remains ongoing.
