‘Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home’ Documentary Confirmed For October Release

A new premiere date has been set for Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, with the documentary now scheduled to air on BBC One on October 02nd. The film was originally slated for an August 18th debut but was pulled hours before airing at the request of the Osbourne family.

Shot over a three-year span as part of the Home To Roost project, the 59-minute documentary follows Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne, and their children Kelly and Jack as they prepare to return to the UK after 25 years in the United States. The film captures Ozzy’s battle with Parkinson’s disease, multiple back surgeries, and his determination to deliver one final performance for his fans before fully retiring.

The BBC describes the documentary as:

“This intimate film, shot over three years with Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon and their children Kelly and Jack, as well as their close friends, follows the final chapter of Ozzy’s life. After 25 years living in LA, he and Sharon decide the time has come to return home to the English country house in Buckinghamshire, where they once brought up their family. But before he retires completely, he’s also determined to perform one last time for his army of fans.”

The broadcast will also explore the Osbournes’ family life, including their grandchildren and their well-documented pack of dogs, while painting an emotional portrait of one of heavy metal’s most iconic figures in his final chapter.

Ozzy Osbourne tragically passed away on July 22nd due to a heart attack, just weeks after his massive farewell concert, Back To The Beginning, in Birmingham, UK.
