A new report is claiming that Sid Wilson is no longer a member of Slipknot.
According to TMZ, sources close to the situation allege that Wilson was informed on Friday afternoon that he had been permanently removed from the band.
As of this writing, neither Slipknot nor Sid Wilson have publicly commented on the report, and no official reason for the alleged departure has been disclosed.
Wilson has been one of the most recognizable members of the Grammy Award-winning metal band, serving as the group’s DJ and keyboardist since its early years. He is widely considered one of Slipknot’s original members and has been part of the band’s lineup since 1999.
If confirmed, Wilson’s exit would mark another significant lineup change for the Iowa-based metal giants.
Over the years, Slipknot has seen several founding and longtime members depart. Former percussionist Chris Fehn and sampler/keyboard player Craig Jones are no longer with the group, while bassist Paul Gray passed away in 2010 and drummer Joey Jordison died in 2021.
The report surfaces several months after Wilson and television personality Kelly Osbourne reportedly ended their engagement. Multiple outlets reported in March that the couple had separated, though sources suggested at the time that reconciliation remained possible.
Until an official statement is issued by either party, the report should be treated as unconfirmed.
