Pittsburgh deathcore heavyweights Signs Of The Swarm have released the music video for their brand-new single “Clouded Retinas” today, June 3rd. The blistering track features a guest appearance from Will Ramos of Lorna Shore, one of the leading voices in modern symphonic deathcore.
The song is taken from the band’s upcoming sixth studio album, To Rid Myself Of Truth, which is set to arrive on August 22nd via Century Media.
Vocalist David Simonich shared that the lyrics are rooted in his own personal battle with Stargardt disease, a degenerative eye condition:
“‘Clouded Retinas‘ is about my struggle coming to terms with my vision loss and diagnosis of Stargardt disease. I asked my friend Will Ramos to hop on the song not just to make it sound sick but also to spread awareness of degenerative diseases and disability. With Will holding it down for today’s deathcore, I tried to showcase my influences from Nate Johnson and Vincent Bennett because the song feels modern yet nostalgic at the same time.”
