Suspect In Josey Scott Trailer Theft Arrested Wearing A Josey Scott Shirt

The suspect arrested in the theft of Josey Scott’s trailer and gear was reportedly wearing a Josey Scott T-shirt at the time of his arrest, according to the Tulsa Police Department. Police say the band’s stolen trailer, along with the missing equipment and belongings, has now been recovered after the April 28 theft in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Authorities identified the suspect as 47-year-old Jason Wofford, who is now facing charges of grand larceny AFCF and knowingly concealing stolen property AFCF. Police say they tracked the trailer, searched the suspect’s home, and found guitars, drums, equipment, and boxes of band shirts before recovering the trailer in Pawnee County and returning it to the owner.

Tulsa police also had a little fun with their official writeup, jokingly presenting the case in a “standard edition” versus “deluxe edition” format. In their report, they noted that Wofford was found outside a home near 48th and S. 34th West Ave. wearing a shirt that read “Josey Scott, the Original Voice of Saliva.”

Scott, who had launched a crowdfunding campaign after the theft, has since shut it down after the gear was recovered and said donations will be returned. He also received support from fellow rockers including Shinedown, who loaned equipment so he and his band could keep playing shows in the meantime.
