The Amity Affliction Announce Ninth Album ‘House Of Cards’ For April Release

The Amity Affliction have officially announced their ninth studio album, ‘House Of Cards’, set for release on April 24th via Pure Noise Records. Alongside the announcement, the band debuted a Daniel Daly-directed music video for the title track.

This new record is the band’s first outing since the departure of former bassist/vocalist Ahren Stringer, with Jonny Reeves (formerly of Kingdom Of Giants) stepping in as his replacement.

Vocalist Joel Birch revealed that the album’s title track draws on deeply personal experiences surrounding his late mother, who passed away in 2024:

“Our mother died in 2024 and none of us had a healthy relationship with her. She was very self-involved, aggressive, abusive in our early years, and in her later years, spent a good amount of time trying to put a wedge between the three of us. Thankfully, once she passed, the three of us actually became closer as we realized we had individual, but shared trauma related to her.”

The record will feature twelve tracks in total, blending the band’s signature melodic metalcore intensity with themes of personal struggle and resilience:
