The Armed have returned to their abrasive roots with the release of a new single titled “Well Made Play”, the first track from their just-announced full-length The Future Is Here And Everything Needs To Be Destroyed. The album will be released on August 01st through Sargent House.
The music video for “Well Made Play” was directed by Christopher Gruse and can be seen below.
Vocalist Tony Wolski shared the following on the song and video:
“While we chase distractions and small comforts, we’re pushed into endless competition with each other—often while those with real power take freely, right in front of us.”
Speaking on the broader message of the upcoming album, Wolski added:
“It’s music for a statistically wealthy population that somehow can’t afford food or medicine—endlessly scrolling past vacation photos, gym selfies, and images of child amputees in the same feed. It reflects the dissociation required just to exist in that reality.”
