THE HALO EFFECT Stream Cover Of Phenomena’s “Dance With The Devil”

Swedish melodic death metal group The Halo Effect have released their latest single — a cover of Phenomena’s 1985 track “Dance With The Devil.” The song is the newest preview from their upcoming covers EP “We Are Shadows,” due out November 21st.

Each of the five songs on the EP was handpicked by a different member of the band, all of whom are former In Flames members. Guitarist Niclas Engelin chose this track, reflecting on its impact:

“I got hit by lightning in the 7th grade when I got to borrow the album by Phenomena from my friend Emil Olsen. The song ‘Dance With The Devil’ struck me hard, and I recorded the whole album on cassette — which I played into dust.”
