Roughly two decades after shelving it, Trivium has officially released the long-lost music video for their track “Dying In Your Arms”. Originally shot during the Ascendancy era, the clip never saw the light of day—until now.
The song appears on Ascendancy, the band’s breakthrough 2005 album, which they’re currently celebrating on the road alongside Bullet For My Valentine (honoring The Poison), August Burns Red, and Bleed From Within.
Matt Heafy (vocals/guitar) reflected on the video’s history:
“We did a video for ‘Dying In Your Arms‘ about 20 years ago, and the video ended up so bad that our manager said, ‘we need to pull this video or your band…’ Someone said you should pull this video, because this video is not good. But now, 20 years later, we’re like, ‘We should watch this. We should show everyone what this is and see how we feel about it.’ Because I haven’t seen this video in 20 years.”
