British sludge metallers URNE have revealed that their brand-new album Setting Fire To The Sky will arrive on January 30th, 2026, via Spinefarm Records. Produced by Justin Hill (SikTh), the album also features mixing by Johann Meyer and mastering from Tony Lindstrom.
Vocalist/bassist Joe Nally commented on the band’s mindset with this record:
“I feel like I’m in Metallica in 1988 with what we do.”
Fans can now experience the album’s latest single through its new video for “Be Not Dismayed.” Nally explained the inspiration behind the track:
“I wrote the lyrics to ‘Be Not Dismayed’ after spending a few summers playing some of the best metal festivals around and seeing the buzz that fans would have by being there. On people’s faces, you could see they were experiencing pure elation, and I guess it took me back to that feeling I used to have going to shows. I clearly remember the feeling I had when I went to see Slayer for the first time at the London Astoria. I went through it all. In the end, it was the moment that set me on a path to where I am now.”
In addition to the new album, URNE have added Kurtis Bagley as a second guitarist for live performances. He will make his live debut at the band’s September 13th show at Camden Assembly in London.
