Voivod Announce European Tour, New Studio Album & Symphonic Live Record

Canadian sci-fi metal pioneers Voivod are back with plans on multiple fronts. The band confirmed today that a new studio album is in progress, while mixing continues on a live symphonic release captured during last year’s performances with the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec.

The band staged three orchestral shows in 2025, including two with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal in January and one with the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec in June. These performances explored the band’s signature futuristic metal through a symphonic lens, blending intricate sci-fi riffs with cinematic orchestration.

In addition to the symphonic record and upcoming studio album, Voivod also shared a new video for their 2023 re-recording of “Condemned To The Gallows.” Fans can also expect updates on the band’s ongoing video game project.

On the live front, Voivod have announced a European summer tour, which kicks off in Italy and spans multiple countries and festivals across the continent.
