Watch Jerry Cantrell Perform Alice In Chains’ “Hate To Feel” Live for the First Time Since 1993 with Greg Puciato

The opening night of Jerry Cantrell‘s solo tour kicked off with a powerful performance of “Psychotic Break,” setting the tone for an evening that would blend his solo material with the iconic sounds of Alice In Chains. This track, from Cantrell‘s 2021 album Brighten, is a heavy and emotional song that was an early highlight of the show. Fans were also treated to the rare live performance of Alice In Chains‘ “Hate To Feel,” which hadn’t been heard live in over three decades, adding a nostalgic touch to the night.

Cantrell’s voice, as commanding and resonant as ever, was complemented by the solid presence of his touring band, which includes the dynamic Greg Puciato (ex-Dillinger Escape Plan, Better Lovers). Puciato’s backing vocals on “Hate To Feel” added a unique layer to the performance, with his distinctive voice blending seamlessly with Cantrell’s. The inclusion of this rarely performed track sent a wave of excitement through the crowd, proving once again that Cantrell’s connection to his grunge roots runs deep.
