Veteran metalcore outfit Zao appear to have new material on the way.
After revealing last March that they had recently been in the studio, the band returned on April 23 with another major hint regarding what they have been working on. This time, Zao shared a preview featuring vinyl artwork and associated files tied to a release titled ‘Pillars’.
At present, the group have not confirmed whether ‘Pillars’ will be a new single, EP, full-length album, or another format entirely. However, they did clear up one point of speculation on social media by jokingly confirming it is not a cover of Sunny Day Real Estate’s 1998 song of the same name.
The tease marks the latest sign of activity from the long-running band and suggests an official announcement may not be far off.
