156/Silence Issue Statement on the Passing of Bassist Lukas Booker

156/Silence have released a statement mourning the loss of their bassist, Lukas Booker, who passed away on March 28th. Alongside expressing their grief, the band has encouraged fans to contribute to a GoFundMe set up by Booker’s family to assist with final expenses. They have also confirmed that they intend to honor their upcoming live commitments in his memory.

The band shared the following message:

“Yesterday afternoon, we were devastated to learn of the passing of our brother, dear friend, and beloved bandmate Lukas Booker. Anyone who knew Lukas knew how kind, selfless, and genuine he was. He would watch every band, mosh before our set, and still have enough energy to give it his all on stage. No matter where he was, he was just happy to be there. He lived for music, and his smile was infectious. In many ways, he was the heart of 156, and the world is a darker place without him. His light will be immensely and immeasurably missed.

In his honor, we will be continuing with our scheduled shows. His family has also organized a GoFundMe, and if anyone is willing and able to donate, I know they would greatly appreciate it.

We love you so much, Lukas. You were supposed to be here for the whole ride, buddy. We were supposed to conquer the world together.
