156/Silence have released another preview of their upcoming album “From A Distance,” debuting a music video for the new single “Swept From Under (Call Of The Void).”
The video premiered on July 21st and was directed by Chris Klumpp (Gideon, Shadows Fall). The track serves as the latest offering from the Pittsburgh metalcore outfit’s forthcoming full-length, which is scheduled to arrive on September 4th via Pure Noise Records.
Discussing the song’s lyrical themes, the band explained:
“The call of the void is the voice in our heads that wants to self-destruct even when we don’t feel bad. A compulsion to hurt ourselves even if we don’t want to. Being swept from under by intrusive thoughts.”
The release arrives just ahead of a busy touring schedule for 156/Silence. Beginning next week, the band will hit the road as direct support for Chiodos on their North American tour alongside sace6 and Second Harbour. Additional North American dates with Aviana, HEAVENSGATE and fromjoy will follow before the band heads overseas this fall with The Devil Wears Prada, Novelists and Oversize.
