Acres Announce New Album “The Host” Coming In May, Unveil “Bloodlust” Video

UK-based melodic metalcore outfit Acres are gearing up to release their highly anticipated album, The Host, on May 2nd via Solid State Records. In the meantime, check out the freshly released video for the album’s debut single, “Bloodlust”.

Produced by Landon Tewers, frontman of the gold-certified metalcore band The Plot In You, The Host marks a bold new chapter for the band.

Discussing the recording process, Acres vocalist Ben Lumber explained:

“The Host represents a bold step in a new direction for us as a band. We’ve always pushed ourselves to evolve with every album and never write the same record twice. This time, the process was unlike anything we’ve done before. Working with Landon Tewers brought a fresh perspective and added a new flair to our sound that we’re really excited about!”

Regarding “Bloodlust“, he stated:

“‘Bloodlust‘ is a track about a toxic relationship between you and addiction, we call ‘The Host‘. It’s about giving in and giving up to it. You know it’s bad for you, but you can’t live without it. It’s the perfect way to start the record, a first peek into the downward spiral of letting the host in and letting it consume you.”
