Dropout Kings have shared the unfortunate and heartbreaking news that their vocalist and founding member Adam Ramey has passed away. The Phoenix, AZ-based nu metal/rap metal band issued a statement earlier today, though further details surrounding his passing have not yet been made public.
Since forming in 2016, Dropout Kings have built a passionate fanbase through their high-energy performances and genre-blending sound. Ramey was a driving force behind the band’s vision, helping lead them through releases on Napalm Records, Stay Sick Recordings, and Suburban Noize Records. He was set to join the group on a European tour this summer.

The rollercoaster of chasing your dreams and building with your brothers and friends is a joy few get to know in the most genuine sense and one we were beyond blessed to experience with one another as Dropout Kings. Even still, we cannot always expect things to go the way we dream nor can we understand just how special each moment with our friends and family are until those moments are memories. With the heaviest hearts, we share that our brother, Adam Ramey has passed away. His passion, energy, and love for music shaped Dropout Kings and touched countless lives. We’re devastated to say the least, but Adam’s spirit, charisma and energy will not only forever inspire us, but will push us into the future to be the best that we can. To say I’m upset is an understatement I’m beyond shattered. Adam i feel like I lost a good friend even though we only messaged and saw each other at your bands shows it still hurts. I ain’t much of a religious person but I’m praying that you are healed now. To your wife and beautiful son I hope they find peace within all this sadness.
