Cult Of Luna have unveiled their latest single, “Sadness Will Reign,” featuring guest vocals from Joe Duplantier, frontman and guitarist of GRAMMY Award-winning French metal outfit Gojira.
The track serves as the final advance single from the Swedish post-metal band’s forthcoming album, ‘In The Shadow Of Your Shadow’, which is scheduled to arrive November 6 via RED CRK Recordings.
Cult Of Luna guitarist and vocalist Johannes Persson spoke about his admiration for Duplantier and the distinctive qualities he brings to Gojira’s music:
“What I like about Joe is that he has a very particular voice. I think it’s one of the reasons why Gojira stands out as the metal giants that they are. It has its own unique character and would stand out even if you put him next to a hundred or a thousand other vocalists.”
With the album arriving this Friday, “Sadness Will Reign” offers fans one final preview of what Cult Of Luna have been preparing, with Duplantier’s guest contribution adding another notable collaboration to the record.
